Paddle CareUpdated 2 days ago

Your paddles are quite robust, but can hold up much longer if looked after correctly!

1. Keep your paddle clean! The main issue faced is typically dirt in the mechanism to change the length of the paddle. Keep this part particularly clean, as dirt might scratch the surface and make adjusting it much more difficult.

2. Dont keep your paddle in the sun for long periods of time. This can affect the colors if you dont have a carbon black paddle as well as make a black paddle quite hot to the touch. Else than that they are quite robust.

3. Transport the paddle with their handle pushed to the shortest advised length to avoid any breakages. Traveling with a lot of luggage on top of the paddle with a pressure-point below can break it even though this is usually unlikely.

4. Try not to push yourself with the paddle of rocks and corals. This can damage both the environment as well as your gear.

5. Do not adjust the paddle to more than the maximum length advised on the paddle. This can damage the paddle even when you would use it with "normal" force due to the small area still left in the lower part. The more the paddle is pulled out, the more force is applied to the paddle shaft.
